Fran Bigelow is American chocolate royalty. She was one of the first modern artisan chocolate makers in America, and her Gold Bar is legend. For years, trimmings of the bars were given to a local shop to serve in ice cream. We’re honored to bring this tradition back. To re-create the flavor, we add a ribbon of caramel and shards of her chocolate to our salted vanilla ice cream. Then to make sure we have it just right, we take her exquisite bars, chop them up, and fold hunks right in.
