Dwanta's Teremana Spiked Eggnog

This is the sixth year we’ve crafted this flavor in partnership with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his tequila brand, Teremana Tequila. It starts with the legendary eggnog cocktail recipe by Portland bartender Jeffrey Morgenthaler. Reposado Teremana Tequila, amontillado sherry, dark agave syrup, and nutmeg are blended and gently cooked down to remove most of the alcohol, then folded into a rich egg yolk custard. The final ice cream contains less than 0.5% alcohol—comparable to the amount found in our Double Fold Vanilla, which uses alcohol-based vanilla extract.

Meet Dwanta, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s festive alter-ego. Here’s how he describes this jolly persona: “Dwanta cares for people of all genders, races, and ages. He’s a fan of tequila, ice cream, and brownies, enjoys having a good time, and loves taking care of others. His sleigh is pulled by “brahma bulls,” and his trusty sidekick, Hobbs—a French Bulldog with reindeer antlers—rides along. His favorite holiday song is “Why Can’t Every Day Be Like Christmas,” and his favorite movie is It’s A Wonderful Life (yes, he sheds a few “manly tears,” as Dwanta puts it). Dwanta Claus has both a naughty side and a nice side, each with its own flair.
