Salt and Straw Pint Sundae Decorating Contest

OFFICIAL RULES 

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. 

ELIGIBILITY:  The Pint Sundae Decorating Contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Employees, officers or directors of Salt & Straw, LLC (“Sponsor”), or any of its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, or any advertising or promotion agencies involved in this Contest (collectively, the “Contest Entities”), as well as the immediate family and household members of each such person, are not eligible to participate. Void  where prohibited. 

CONTEST PERIOD:  The Contest begins on July 17, 2026, at 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”), and ends on July 23, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT (the “Contest Period”). Sponsor’s database computer is the official time-keeping device for this Contest.

HOW TO ENTER:  During the Contest Period, complete all of the following steps on either Instagram or TikTok (each a “Platform”):    

Entering the Sweepstakes requires having an account on Instagram or Tik Tok, both of which are free to create. If entering via Instagram, your Entry Post must be posted to your feed. Your Platform account must be set to public so the Sponsor can see your Entry Post.  Limit one (1) entry per person. Any attempt to obtain more than one entry by using different or multiple identities, Platform accounts, or any other method is prohibited and may result in disqualification. 

Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same Platform account. Use of any macro, bot, script, or other automated means to submit Entry Posts or complete any other step above is prohibited and may result in disqualification.  

Your Entry Post must comply with the Platform’s image and/or video format requirements and terms of use, and may not contain any language or imagery which is lewd, obscene, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate, as determined by Sponsor in its discretion, all of which are grounds for disqualification. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, disqualify an Entry Post for any reason at any time, including if the Entry Post fails to conform to these Official Rules. Proof of posting is not proof of accessibility of the Entry Post to Sponsor or anyone else. Each Entry Post will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the Platform account used when posting the Entry Post. An “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person to whom the email address is assigned by an internet service provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the social media account used to enter. 

ENTRY POST GUIDELINES: Video Entry Posts must be a minimum of 2 seconds and a maximum of 30 seconds. Regardless of format, your Entry Post must: (a) be your exclusive and original work, (b) use English as the primary written or spoken language, (c) be in keeping with Sponsor’s image, (d) not defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon the rights of any person or entity, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity, (e) not contain any music or other audio content unless (i) such content is your exclusive and original work or (ii) you have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions, (f) not contain any commercial/corporate advertising, including but not limited to, brand names and slogans other than Sponsor’s, and (g) not depict or describe any conduct or content that is unsafe, immoral, lewd, obscene, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. 

If your Entry Post depicts and/or names any recognizable person(s) other than you, then you are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions, including a signed publicity release, from such person(s). By submitting an Entry Post, you warrant and represent that your Entry Post has been created by you as an original work and that all required third-party licenses and/or releases (if any) have been obtained in writing, and you further grant to Sponsor, and to its licensees, successors and assigns, and any person or entity acting on such entities’ behalf, the irrevocable right and non-exclusive license to copy, reproduce, edit, broadcast and otherwise use your Entry Post in any way in any medium whether now existing or later discovered, worldwide, in perpetuity, including but not limited to posting such Entry Post online on Sponsor’s website and social media pages and displaying such Entry Post in Sponsor’s stores.   

Failure to meet any of the requirements above, or to otherwise comply with these Official Rules, may result in disqualification in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to (i) reject any content it deems inappropriate for any reason, or (ii) remove references to third-party trademarks and/or slogans, recognizable persons other than the entrant, or other inappropriate content from an Entry Post without disqualifying the Entry Post where, in Sponsor’s determination, such change does not materially alter the Entry Post and the entrant has otherwise attempted in good faith to comply with these Official Rules. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest and/or receipt or use of the Prize further constitutes the winner’s consent for use of his/her name, likeness, voice, opinions, statements, biographical information, and/or hometown and state for promotional or advertising purposes in any media, worldwide, now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further review, notification, payment, or consideration (unless prohibited by law). 

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:  Within approximately twenty four (24) hours after the close of the Contest Period, the winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries. The potential winner will be notified via direct message on the Platform used to post, on or about 07/24/2026.  No liability is assumed for any notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by an individual for any reason.  Failure to respond to any notification within five (5) days may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate potential winner.  Judges’ decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. The potential winner may be required to execute a Declaration of Eligibility, a Liability Release, a license of rights in his/her Entry Post, and a Publicity Release (where legal) (“Prize Claim Documents”) prior to being declared the winner. If the potential winner is a minor under the laws of his/her state of residence, the parent or legal guardian of such potential winner may be required to ratify and sign all required documents. If the potential winner fails to comply with Sponsor’s requests for Prize Claim Documents within five (5) days, is found to be ineligible, or cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, he/she may be disqualified, and an alternate potential Weekly Winner may be selected.    

PRIZE:  One (1) prize is available, consisting of the following components (collectively, the “Prize”):  

Total Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $354. Upon validation of prize claim, winner will be given the option to select gift cart for use either in-shop or online. Only the Prize described in these Official Rules will be awarded. Prize is not redeemable for cash, is non-transferable, and no substitutions are offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor may substitute a Prize or Prize component of comparable value if the advertised Prize or any component thereof becomes unavailable.  Winner is responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with acceptance or use of the Prize. If, as a result of printing, technical, or other errors, more potential winners come forward seeking to claim prizes in excess of the Prize set forth in these Official Rules, the winner of the advertised Prize may be selected in a random drawing from among all persons making such claims.  Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy in such circumstances.  

ODDS:  The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.

Additional Rules:   Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. No responsibility is assumed for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, garbled, incomplete or illegible entries, all of which are void; (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, mobile device, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participating in the Contest.

By participating, you (and if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian) (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any promotion or Contest it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) suspend, modify or terminate the Contest if Sponsor believes, in its sole discretion, that malfunction, error, disruption or damage is impairing or will impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. If the Contest is terminated before the designated end date, Sponsor will (if possible) select a winner from all eligible, non-suspect entries unaffected by the problem.  Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy in such circumstances.  

Release of Liability:  By participating, you (and if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian) release Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, employees, directors, agents, advertising agencies, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest from any and against  any and all injury, loss or damage caused or claimed to be caused by your participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance, awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of the Prize, and you agree that these entities are not responsible for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the promotion and/or the awarding of any prize except as expressly provided in these Official Rules.  By participating, you agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (b) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney’s fees; (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses; and (d) these Rules and all disputes shall be governed by the internal laws of the state of Oregon, without regard to principles of conflicts of laws, any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts in the state of Oregon, and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction of said courts and waive any objection thereto.  For New Jersey residents: Nothing herein prohibits recovery of damages or attorneys’ fees where required by statute.

WINNER LIST:   For the name of the winner, available approximately two weeks after the end of the Contest Period, send an email to hello@saltandstraw.com with the subject line Salt & Straw Contest Winner List. Winner name requests must be received within sixty (60) days after the end of the Contest Period.
