Getting Started
Q: What is Salt & Straw Rewards?
A: It’s our free loyalty program. You earn Spoons (10 per $1 spent) on qualifying in-shop purchases and redeem them for free menu items. You also get birthday rewards, early access & exclusive events and the Pint Club
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Download the Salt & Straw app. Enrollment is free, you need your first name, last name, email, and a password. You must be 16+ and a U.S. resident. New members receive 350 bonus Spoons at enrollment.
Q: Where can I use my rewards?
A: Rewards are valid at all participating Salt & Straw locations in the U.S. They are not available for nationwide shipping orders, licensed shop locations, or third-party delivery platforms.
Earning Spoons
Q: How do I earn Spoons?
A: Make a qualifying in-shop purchase while logged into your account and scan your QR code at checkout. You earn 10 Spoons per $1 spent on the qualifying amount paid, after discounts, excluding taxes, gift card amounts, and charitable donations.
Q: My Spoons haven’t posted yet. Is something wrong?
A: Points can take up to 24 Hours to appear. If it’s been less than 24 hours, hang tight. If more than 24 hours have passed, contact us to open a points dispute, you have 90 days from the purchase date to do so.
Q: My Spoons expired. What can I do?
A: Spoons expire 12 months from the date they were earned (oldest first). We send reminder notifications before expiration. If yours expired, contact our team at support@thanx.com
Q: I used a gift card for part of my purchase. Do I still earn Spoons?
A: Yes
Q: I got a refund. What happens to my Spoons?
A: Spoons earned on refunded orders are automatically reversed, which may result in a negative balance. If you believe a reversal was made in error, contact us support@thanx.com
Redeeming Rewards
Q: How do I redeem a reward?
A: In the app, claim the reward you want (this converts your Spoons into a redeemable reward). Then show it at the register when you order
Q: Can I use more than one reward in a single visit?
A: No. Only one reward can be redeemed per transaction.
Q: Can I combine Spoons from two accounts?
A: No. Spoons are tied to individual accounts and cannot be transferred or combined.
Q: The item I want isn’t available at this location. What do I do?
A: Reward availability depends on each location’s menu. Contact our team if you’d like help, substitutions are considered on a case-by-case basis. support@thanx.com
Perks & Specials
Q: How does the birthday reward work?
A: You receive a free Double Scoop on your birthday, valid for a 7-day window after your actual birthday. To qualify you must have made at least one prior purchase and been a member for 30+ days before your birthday. Your birthday cannot be changed after enrollment.
Q: What is The Pint Club?
A: Buy 4 pints within any 90-day rolling window and earn a free pint. After 90-day window expires, a new Pint Club offer will appear. Cannot be combined with other pint promotions.
Q: What is early access?
A: Check your marketing emails or apps for special times in which our guest can access certain flavors or new items before anyone else.
Q: What are Double Points Days?
A: Occasional events where you earn 2× Spoons on qualifying purchases. Check the app or your marketing emails for upcoming dates.
Account & Privacy
Q: How do I cancel my membership?
A: Cancel via the app or by contacting us. All unused Spoons and rewards are forfeited upon cancellation and cannot be reinstated.
