Goat cheese has quite a distinct and tangy barnyard funk that's perfect for churning into our 17% ice cream base. So that's exactly what we did. This base is paired with the delectable and juicy marionberry, a summertime staple in Oregon. This particular varietal, developed at Oregon State University, is bigger than your evergreen blackberry and offers a unique earthy tartness and gentle sweetness that we believe is worth sharing nationwide.

The inspo behind this flavor came from a unique local goat cheese maker, who blended a spicy berry jam into their goat cheese. We loved it so much we knew they'd be a perfect pint partner. Local-based Portland Creamery focuses on making the best quality chèvre from a single herd of prized goats using traditional farming practices, which produces the award-winning Oregon chèvre used in this recipe. Delicious and ethically produced goat cheeses, might we say, they are the GOAT?
