Rose City Riot


First churned October 2011

One of the first flavors from our Flowers Series and an old favorite of the Portland Timbers. Borrowing specifically from the traditional Iranian dessert called bastani, we first infuse cream with saffron—the world’s dearest spice, requiring up to 68,000 hand-harvested flowers for one pound. Then layer it into a rose water ice cream tinted pink with beets with chopped roasted pistachios. This distinct flavor packs a wallop of floral notes and a beautiful array of colors.
