Intrigue’s Green Basil & Chocolate Cocoa Nibs

If you visit Intrigue Chocolate shop when Chef Aaron Barthel is behind the counter, he will take you on the greatest chocolate-tasting journey of your life. We made ice cream inspired by several of his wonderfully intense truffles and he declared basil ganache the winner. We steep clumps of basil in cream to make a basil-flavored ice cream and then stir in tons of his cocoa nibs coated in chocolate.
